Baby Anna

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing newborn Anna, something I hadn’t done before but really would like to add to my portfolio.

I photographed Anna at her new family home, which lends itself really well to my ‘photo journalistic’ style, and just documented her being a newborn and let her do her thing, if she cried I documented it if she slept or moved I documented it.

That to me is important as parents want memories of their newborn their every movement, cry, smile.

She was particularly hungry that day, so Mum and dad assisted with a few food stops along the way, but this is all part of her life and the life of a newborn photographer.

I really enjoyed doing a newborn Photoshoot and have since done another one which had an addition of a big brother too, so look out for sneak peeks and a blog coming soon.

Thankyou to Anna’s parents for letting me document such a beautiful and special time of their life.

Bright lights

Last week I went to watch the fireworks at Great Yarmouth and spent some quality time with my family for the evening, and of course got hot doughnuts (a must have at the beach)

I took the opportunity to take some night time bright light shots, something that’s not always been my preferred shooting style as it’s not my natural style, but I took the opportunity to have a play around with the light.

It’s Prom Time

Back in June, my little sister went to her High school prom, she has now officially left school and is growing up *sobs*

She came to my prom nearly 10 years ago, albeit she was desperate to leave to go to her school fete, so I couldn’t miss this for the world despite having an invitation of summer evenings drinks (it was a tough decision) but family always comes first.

Luckily we have a very talented MUA & hairdresser in our family in the form of our stepmom who was on hand to beautify my sister.

We headed over to meet all her friends and off they went to the prom in the most awesome prom transport I have seen, a scooby doo van. As much as she didn’t want me to I followed the transport to the venue, as I really wanted to see all the other modes of transport, my favourite was a vintage fire truck.

Plantation Gardens

Back in June (sorry I’m a bit behind on my blogging) I got to photograph these two cheeky brothers again, I couldn’t believe how much they had grown up since last years shoot.

This time we spent the morning at The Plantation Gardens in Norwich, it’s so beautiful the flowers and architecture really make the a hidden gem in Norwich.

The littlest of the brothers particularly liked fountain and throwing stones in it, he managed to get very muddy doing this, he even managed to get mud in his hair.

We walked all around the gardens, my favourite was the bridge looking out on the Gardens. With all the tall palm style trees it felt very tropical and the shots I took here are some of my favourites, the boys just being boys being silly and having lots of fun.

My favourite moment was the boys little show they put on for me and their mummy singing songs from Moana and Frozen, as a massive Disney fan this was a big hit with me!

Also forgot to mention their awesome matching outfits and their mummas awesome ‘raising boys’ t-shirt, and the boys have matching light up trainers!
